Heroin Rehab for Austin, Texas Residents
When people become addicted to opioids of any kind, including prescription pain pills, like Vicodin, Hydrocodone, morphine, oxycodone, and codeine, they may find that heroin is a less expensive substitute, due to its euphoric highs. A person coming off heroin may experience serious withdrawal symptoms like pain, body aches, fatigue, and nausea, and will experience intense cravings.
At Resurgence, we have a full team of medical professionals who can help manage a heroin detox safely. Using Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT), which is a combination of FDA-approved medications, counseling, and behavioral therapies, we can help you or a loved one tackle the biological, and the behavioral components of opioid addiction, while helping you overcome physical withdrawal symptoms.
Medical Assisted Treatment uses medications like methadone and buprenorphine as a maintenance treatment, to satisfy cravings without the euphoric high. This will stop withdrawal symptoms in a safe, medical setting. When these medications are used following prescription amounts under a doctor’s supervision, they will not create a new addiction and are successful in helping reduce the risk of relapse.
Because this treatment is different from a regular detox, it focuses on you as a whole person, rather than just the physical symptoms of withdrawal. Medical Assisted Treatment is proven to improve survival rates, and the ability to live a self-directed life, without dependency on substances.
Drug Rehab
Nearly any substance that creates a chemical dependency requires a detox, to be able to begin recovery. Benzodiazepines, opiates, and stimulants all have their own, unique withdrawal symptoms and timelines. They can create physical and mental discomfort, and in some cases, withdrawal symptoms can be painful and dangerous.
At Resurgence, we screen patients for physical and mental health issues, as well as conducting an in-depth interview to get to know you, your goals, and to formulate a personalized, long-term plan for recovery.
We then begin the detox process. The preferred option for detox is a medical detox, where the patient stays under the medical care of nurses within a Resurgence facility, and is monitored for withdrawal symptoms. Prescription doses of medications can be given to help with symptoms.
Once the detox phase is complete, we transition you to an inpatient rehabilitation facility. Our comprehensive rehabilitation programs focus on the root of addiction, creating long-term recovery success. Most residential rehab programs are 30, 60, or 90 days long, and will significantly reduce the risk of relapse. You will stay in a comfortable and safe environment, to work and focus on your recovery.
There are diet plans and nutritional support, exercise facilities, community gatherings, and various therapy options. You will be living in a structured, community-oriented environment amongst peers. The highly trained, empathetic, clinical staff will be around 24 hours a day. The longer you remain within our treatment facilities, the lower the risk of relapse.

Meth Rehab
Methamphetamine is a potent drug that can lead to rapid dependency, and when detoxing, the “crash” can last between a few days and several weeks. You may feel agitated, fatigue, insomnia, excessive sweating, tremors, nausea, confusion, depression, and dehydration, among other symptoms. A medical detox program is recommended for coming off meth for this reason.
At Resurgence, we provide around-the-clock, medical care in our detox facility. Our highly trained and experienced staff are there 24 hours a day in case you need anything, there is a nurse practitioner on-site daily, and the head nurse is a certified addiction RN. Medications can be administered at prescription levels, to help keep you safe, comfortable, and as relaxed as possible throughout the medical detox program.
Once detox is complete, you can easily transition to one of our inpatient rehab programs seamlessly, in the same facility.
Why Choose Resurgence For Drug Rehab
At Resurgence, we believe that the underlying causes and co-occurring disorders like trauma and mental health conditions are as important as treating addiction. To get to the root of addiction, we have multiple therapies, including equine therapy, CBT, group therapies, and many other options.
Our highly experienced staff are empathetic and understanding, with around half in recovery themselves. They are living proof that life after rehab is possible.
Resurgence is located in a serene, peaceful landscape. Guests are housed in cabins with full-sized beds, and the food is excellent. Dietary needs can easily be accommodated.
