Top Rated Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Arlington, Texas
Because it can be legally purchased and is socially acceptable, alcohol is a commonly underrated drug. Alcohol addiction is a serious health issue, and detox should always be monitored by health care professionals. It can sometimes be dangerous without medical supervision.
Resurgence is the top-rated outpatient alcohol rehab for residents of Arlington. We want to work with you to find the best treatment for you and your unique situation, preferences, needs, and budget.
We offer dual diagnosis treatment at Resurgence, in which we address both the root of addiction and the root of mental illness through integrated therapy, clinical care, and medication. These issues are often intertwined, so treating them together will end the cycle and lead to a more effective, long-term recovery.
Along with counseling, medically assisted therapy will help you through withdrawal symptoms in a safe manner that will keep you as comfortable as possible, and then you will move into one of our residential rehabilitation programs. This is where the work begins. You will attend therapy sessions, life skills and vocational skills courses, counseling, and family or group therapy sessions. You will also learn to take care of your body, with exercise options, clinical care, and nutritional counseling.

What is Alcohol Rehab Like?
When you enter rehabilitation, the first thing you have to do is stop drinking. Even though detox is not a cure for alcohol addiction, it is the first step, so you can be clear-headed and focused on working on your rehabilitation and recovery.
Detoxing from alcohol without assistance can be dangerous and even deadly in serious cases. The severity of withdrawal symptoms depends on factors like how much alcohol was consumed and for how long, body weight, metabolism, and other variables like genetics or co-occurring conditions like trauma or mental illness. At Resurgence, our medically assisted treatment for detox is overseen by medical professionals. You will stay in our home-like residential detox space, be monitored 24 hours a day by our highly trained clinical staff, and be given FDA-approved medications at prescription rehab to keep you safe and to stop severe withdrawal symptoms from happening. We do not want you to suffer, and we will do everything we can to keep you comfortable during this time.
After detox, it is recommended you move directly into our residential rehab program for a minimum of 30 days. Rehab at Resurgence is successful, because it is customized to suit every person as an individual, and treat the whole person, not just the addiction.
A healthy and sober community will help you as you attend therapy sessions, learn new recovery skills, and find new ways to be yourself without the use of drugs or alcohol. At Resurgence, there is professional support in a structured environment to help you get sober and remain sober.
We have individual and group therapies and aftercare support like outpatient rehabilitation programs and sober living homes to help with the process of returning to life and responsibilities after rehab.
What to Expect During Rehab?
During Rehab, you will be living in a structured, safe environment, surrounded by like-minded people who are working towards their own goals. Everybody has their own path, and rehab is a part of many people’s journey.
Behavioral therapy is a big part of our rehab programs at Resurgence. We believe that getting to the root of addiction and switching out self-destructive habits for productive ways to move forward will help create a future for you in long-lasting, sustained recovery.
Therapies at Resurgence include:
Psychotherapy, aka talk therapy: the patient and their therapist work together to improve quality of life, work through issues, develop healthy coping skills, and provide strategies and skills for handling difficult situations.
Group Therapy: a group of patients will get together to talk about a particular issue or subject, like alcohol addiction. One or more therapists will guide the conversation, while the group shares thoughts, brainstorms about issues, and help each other find answers to problems while supporting each other.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): This therapeutic approach theorizes that the area of the brain that processes memories becomes “stuck” because of trauma, and this can be resolved by re-experiencing trauma in the context of a safe environment.
Experiential Therapy: a patient will re-experience repressed negative emotions while using expressive tools and activities like art, role-playing, and animal care.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): underlying behaviors and emotions are treated by modifying behavior and thought patterns, helping patients retrain their brains to avoid negative or self-destructive behaviors.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): patients find the social and emotional reasons behind their substance abuse, and then work to change their responses, and replace negative behaviors and thoughts with more positive ones.
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT): patients learn that most situations are not inherently good or bad, it just depends on how you perceive them. REBT challenges patients about their own thoughts and responses with logical and positive responses.
There are activities like game nights, movie nights, and opportunities to play sports or work out in our exercise facilities. There are offsite trips to beaches or the forest for surfing and hiking. There is also the option to attend church on Sundays. At Resurgence, we know that a change of scenery can sometimes give a person mental space and the motivation to keep going.
How Long is Alcohol Rehab?
The length of alcohol rehab is up to you. We strongly recommend a minimum stay of 30 days in residential care, but also offer 60- and 90-day programs. Afterwards, we offer several outpatient rehab options for Resurgences who feel stable and motivated to continue the work on their sobriety outside of our facility.
The types of outpatient programs we offer are:
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP/day program): where people transitioning from inpatient rehab attend six hours of therapy and group work, along with any medical treatment they may need, for five to seven days a week. This option has very strong support from our staff, while you use your recovery skills in the real world.
Intensive Outpatient Program: a step down from the PHP, where you can keep your daily life, attend to responsibilities like taking care of family or going to work or school, while continuing to work on your sobriety with group and individual therapy. Some locations offer a virtual version of the IOP, where meetings and therapy occur online through a special telehealth platform.
Long-term continuing care: in which you can continue to receive the support that best suits your needs and circumstances for the long term. We encourage you to remain in some form of care for as long as you need so you can feel ready to live confidently as a sober person out in the world.
If you would prefer a more structured living situation than your family or home can provide. Resurgence can give recommendations to partners who run trusted sober living homes. These are places that will hold you accountable. There will be house rules like random drug testing compliance, chores around the house, curfews, and rules about guests. You may have to pay rent or agree to attend meetings or therapy. We can help you find a home that suits you and your lifestyle.
Our alumni group regularly holds reunions, gatherings, and group outings, to foster sober friendships, and to offer mentorship and a lasting support system that you can always reach out to, long after completing treatment.
The longer you remain in rehab, the less likely it is that you will relapse. With our strong community, our alumni groups, and our various aftercare programs, you will never be alone.
Why Choose Resurgence For Alcohol Rehab?
At Resurgence, our healthy and sober community will help show you that you are not alone. At Resurgence, we have a large network of voluntary alumni who organize group outings, meetings, and gatherings to foster sober friend groups and find new activities you enjoy without the use of drugs or alcohol.
